Our Story
Welcome to Hangar 32. My wife Maylin and I, Serge, run the bar during the week with occasionally a few extra crew members for our special night flights. Our aim is to create a pleasant, music filled atmosphere, in our aviation themed Bar, ensuring good times for all Travellers and Locals alike. We like to give the people what they want and just a little more!
Maylin was born in the Philippines and worked as a flight attendant for Emirates Airlines in Dubai. She speaks several languages and enjoys serving her homemade Happy Hour Apéro in our First & Economy Lounge. During the evening, she sometimes likes to DJ for our guests. That's when the party really gets started. The tables move and people dance until the Fasten Seat Belt sign lights up at the end of the evening.
Serge is usually busy behind the cockpit bar making cocktails and drinks and engaging in hangar stories with his friends and customers. After 37 years in aviation, he retired from Emirats Airlines as captain of a Boeing B-777. Serge makes a point of making everyone feel welcome, comfortable and having a good time. He is from Interlaken, but has lived most of his life in the USA, Dubai and Asia. If you want to know what to do in and around the Bernese Oberland, just ask him, he is very helpful.
Great bar, great music and brilliant hosts. Fantastic place for a few beers after a hard day. Large selection of beers and popular with locals. The bar is tastefully decorated with aviation artefacts and memorabilia as the owner spent many years working in the aviation industry. Will go again the next time I’m in Interlaken.
Hangar 32 is a lovely cosy bar that you need to visit. The owners are so friendly and kind. The cocktails are amazing!! It was a lovely chilled vibe with cool music. The lovely bar lady gave us little snacks while we drank that she made fresh and she made a real effort to make us feel welcome. The bar man was friendly and made amazing cocktails! There is a cute bench out the front where you can sit with a blanket and people watch. Me and my partner came here 4/5 nights we stayed, would’ve been 5/5 but they were sadly shut one night. Definitely come for a drink if you’re visiting Interlaken.
a place with a relaxing but also energetic atmosphere. people are grade 10, even as a tourist they have integrated me into their circle as if they had known me for a long time. the theme and the music inside generate a state of happiness. If you go through interlaken, I recommend you visit these people because they can make your holiday happier. I greet you with respect 😆🍻
